- [Instructor] So what about edge-based security? How do we deal with managing risks in the world of edge-based computing technology? Well, keep in mind that we're always trying to get to some minimum viable security where basically we're at a optimal level where the cost of security is pretty equal to the amount of risk reduction that we're getting. So how we're moving up from there, we're moving to a more proactive state in a predictive state. So it's not only the ability to respond to security issues, such as breach attempts, but the ability to look at something that may be approaching and the ability to proactively prevent something from happening, or even predicting something's going to happen before the hacker tries to attack the system, and ultimately defending yourself in a way where you're, in essence, guessing how things are going to be attacked and preventing those attacks using an educated guessing mechanism.…
