Well, its a matter of looking at the different components of data and how it's stored on either the edge based computer or edge device or on the back end cloud system. So a component of data would be storage or the physical storage of how the information is actually laid down on the particular physical medium such as a solid state device, or even a rotating platter, the ability to deal with the metadata or the information about the data that tracking what it means which is very important for building applications using that data, the ability to deal with data security are we encrypting it?
