- [Instructor] Let's talk about one of the more important concepts around edge computing. Edge operations or EdgeOps. So, you need to understand how you're going to deploy monitoring and operations and do so in such a way that you're going to maintain the system in a sustainable way, over a long period of time. It's one thing to build an application that's an edge based computing application and get it running. It's another thing to run that application for a long period of time, and that's where operations comes in. So you need to create a plan. So part of this is during development create a edge computing monitoring and operations plan. In other words, how we're going to run this thing when it's released and we're doing so for a couple of reasons, number one, we may have to build certain purpose-built capabilities within the application and it's good to know that before we build the application.
