Exploring the web interface

- [Instructor] The web interface is the primary method for configuring and managing a FreeNAS server. Once the system is installed and we've gone through the initial setup, the console will show us where the web interface is located. If we set the system's network information manually, the address listed should be the one we set up, and if the system is using DHCP, you'll be able to find the address it received here. At the beginning, the FreeNAS server will offer its configuration interface over HTTP, not HTTPS, and remember, the only user we have right now is root, so needless to say, make sure you're doing this initial setup of the server on a trusted network. I'll visit the server's address in my browser and log in with the root user and the password that I set up for the root user in the installation process, and here we are.
