Handling distractions and delays

- Most of the time, I do get to work on the things that I plan during a day. But I would say at least four or five times, I have people who ask me things that I wasn't really planning for at the beginning of the day. There are new requests that pop up, or there things that need urgent attention. You get a meeting put on your calendar for 30 minutes from now. Those things pop up and you have to be able to just adjust. And you'll come into the day with a to-do list. You might only get half of those things done, but you also got five other things done that you weren't planning to do. And that's just the reality of it. That definitely happens to me every day. But you really have to view it as I'm still accomplishing things, I'm still accomplishing work and helping out, just not exactly what I thought I'd be doing today. And then, really blocking out time as well to just get things done that you know you need to get done.…
