- [Instructor] Platforms like eBay, Etsy, and even World of Warcraft are intermediaries. They help parties to a transaction come together. Intermediaries include app stores, shippers, and payment processors. Each of these can end up in the middle of your repudiation problems. Retail platforms will have people selling fake goods, and selling goods that the platform forbids. App stores have to worry about fake apps brandsquatting. And who pays the reimbursement when the fake Nevada company takes the money and runs? Shippers and their logs are important to repudiation proceedings, but they're not always the hearers of the story. Sometimes their employees will commit frauds or let collaborators know about a pile of packages left on a porch.
