- Hey everybody, it's Mike Myers welcoming you to Cert Prep: 10 Printers. Now this is the 10th of 10 courses which collectively will help you pass the CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1001) exam. Now, like it's called it's all about printers and actually multifunction devices as well. So in this episode, we're going to be talking about different types of printing technology. What really makes an inkjet different from a laser printer for example? Then we're going to be going in and we're actually going to set up and install printers within a Windows environment, and then we're going to actually get that out on a network. We're going to share our printers and make sure anybody who wants to, or who we don't want to, can or cannot print on our printers. Last, we're going to be doing a lot of troubleshooting. The CompTIA A+ covers printer troubleshooting in great detail, and we'll go through a number of scenarios where we're talking about problems that run into printers and how we deal with them. Now if you're using my popular McGraw-Hill A+ book, you might want to be watching Chapter 26.
