- [Instructor] There are times where, with legal counsel, you might be instructed to place a legal hold on some type of IT system and its data. Legal hold means that the information is going to be immutable. It can't be modified. So what we're going to do here in Microsoft Azure is enable a legal hold policy on a storage account container. So I'm going to start here in the Azure portal by opening up the left-hand navigator and clicking on storage accounts. I've already got a storage account created here for this purpose. So I'm going to click to open it up and I'm going to scroll down. Now, within an Azure storage account, you can store blobs, binary, large objects. These are files, whether it's as small as a text document, or as large as a virtual hard disk file. But if I scroll further down, under file service, we can also configure a file share.
