- Hardest part of my day is having all my time sucked up by meetings. And so it's really critical to think about do I need to be there, am I adding value to this meeting, and then if not, do I trust somebody that can represent me? For protecting your time, it's very important to get your job done. As somebody who has to manage his time very aggressively, my simplest daily hack is just checking my calendar first thing in the morning, making sure that I know exactly what I'm expected to do that day, where I need to be and who I need to call. Because otherwise you can be stuck in a problem coding your mind away and then suddenly realize you missed your meeting with your boss, and that's just, no bueno. As somebody who manages data scientists, I'm constantly thinking about how important they are to the product and product at that time.
