- [Instructor] So let's look to the future. What's next for edge computing and how edge computing meets cloud computing? Well, keep in mind that 5G is going to be an accelerator of edge based technology. Connectivity is everything. And our ability to communicate with devices leveraging a very robust, very high-speed cellular network that's pervasive, in other words, being pretty much everywhere is going to be a huge advantage. Also keep in mind that edge computing systems are very complex distributed systems and our ability to manage that complexity is something we're going to need to get better at. Also the ability to port applications between tiers such as edge based devices at servers and cloud computing frameworks. Right now you can port code between those devices now but it's typically going to need lots of refactoring or rewriting aspects of the application. However, that should get easier moving forward and…
