Opening a file with a specific program

- [Narrator] Windows uses something called file association to set which files are opened by which programs. This magic explains how you can click on a file such as this audio file here and have it open in a specific program. For Windows 10, the wav audio files are opened by the Groove application by default. Now, if you prefer another application to open the file, you can right click on it and choose the open with sub menu. Here you see programs available on your computer that can open, edit or play the given file. You can choose any one to open the file, such as the VLC Media Player, and the audio file plays. If the program you want to select doesn't appear on the list, you can look for it at the Microsoft Store. Or if you know it's installed on your computer, you can choose the option choose another app and then select an app from this list.
