- [Instructor] Although we've become more connected making sure that data is securely stored and managed has become more important than ever. Not to be alarmist, but it is now easier than ever to put gigabytes of data at risk by poor security and poor systems management. Previously, I've worked on an introduction to data rights course on LinkedIn learning where we covered some of the sources of data rights and rules around data use. With the ability to view, process, and host data across different boundaries, this also adds to the complexity of managing data projects and ensures that there's enough oversight to securely deliver results. In some ways, working with data in the cloud can be even more secure than a local machine because the region is locked and the security process can be managed in a standard way across clients.
