Overview of the course and optional certification examination

- [Instructor] Here we see the objectives for this course. Note the emphasis in bullet two of a shared approach and a common framework and on agility. Silent processes between the IT function and the rest of the business with a cadence mass to a landscape and pace that haven't existed in years will fall far short in this digital age. So having a shared framework, a way to look at the space and see what's working well, and what's not is vital. Now carefully consider the objectives listed here. Do they match your objectives for this course? Here are the main topics or model for the course, along with the timing associated with each. One thing to know here is that there's an optional exam for this course and that the distribution of exam questions is intended to be proportional to the amount of topic, area coverage. So for example, you'll see more questions on the sample and actual exams on the phases from module four unless on "Rationale", which is covered in module one. Here's the format for the exam, 40 questions, multiple choice with a score of 26 of 40 or 65% required to pass. To pass it, you must complete all the sample exams and check the rationale in the answers and rationale document for the book answers for any answers you do not get right, so that you understand why the correct answer is correct. Here's some tips for taking the exam based on a long experience with taking this kind of exam. Be sure to review these tips. Also look for patterns in the sample exams. As the mock exams are intended to be representative of the actual kinds of questions you'll get on the real exam.
