- [Instructor] Nothing is more terrifying than something gone awry in a computer. A file is missing. Document disappears. Data is gone. Your first impulse is, well, what did I do wrong? Well, your first impulse should be to press the Ctrl + Z undo keyboard shortcut. It's surprising how well this keyboard shortcut works. This is the File Explorer, and say I accidentally decide to delete this file. Press the Delete key, and it's gone. Now, to get it back right away, press Control + Z, and the file is recovered. Be aware that this solution works only immediately after you delete the file. If you perform another file action, Control + Z undoes it instead. Here in Excel, I'm going to delete the entire worksheet, all its data. To get it back, yes, Control + Z, and it's restored. This should be well-known, but it's your first choice.
