- {Instructor] The CSSLP exam contains 125 multiple choice questions with four possible answers to each question. The exam content is a combination of knowledge recall and scenario based questions. The intent is to test how well you know the material and whether or not you understand how to apply this knowledge in real world settings. In order to pass the exam, you need to score at least 700 out of a possible 1000 points. ISC squared includes 25 questions on each exam that they call pre-test items. These are beta test questions that they're trying out in the field. They represent knowledge that a CSSLP should know but these questions don't count against your final exam score. When you're taking the exam, they won't indicate whether or not a question is a pre-test item but don't let that distract you.
