Physical security for the home office
- It's important to consider physical security, when you're setting up your home working space. A workspace should secure items against things like theft, but also against accidental damage or against being misplaced. We need to protect papers and other objects from being stolen or viewed by people who shouldn't see them. If you're fortunate enough to have a dedicated office or room set aside for your work, consider outfitting the door with a lock. This will help to secure it against people snooping around and helps to define a space that's dedicated to work. When you leave the space, check that any other doors or windows into the room are closed and locked. If you don't have a whole room, you can use as an office, consider finding a piece of furniture that locks, like a locking cabinet or locking drawer that you can use to store work materials when you're not using them.
