- [Instructor] I want to talk about templates now for a few minutes. We're here on the Power Apps homepage, but let's go over here to our navigation panel and click on create. And if we scroll down a little bit, we start to see the templates. I believe that there are 34 templates right now, let me scroll down here, and as you can see, most of them use the tablet layout. Yeah, 34. And they continually add templates to Power Apps, not at a great pace, I believe that when we first started with Power Apps, there were only four templates, so we've gotten a few more since then. But keep an eye out, they may add some more useful ones. All of them, with the exception of these three right here, these three are for model-driven apps. Now in this course, we're only going to deal with the canvas apps, but if you want to get started with model-driven apps, this is a good place to go ahead and get started, 'cause templates are great. Templates do a lot of the work for you, it creates the entire app, and then you just have to kind of plug in your own data. Like I said, most of these show up as tablet apps, but a lot of them, for example this leave request app, you'll see you can use it in either the tablet format or the phone format, the little phone layout there as well. You can switch back and forth. When you click on it here it shows you which services it connects to, and you can even preview the app if you want. And we'll click on that there, and you can kind of get a feel for what it's going to look like. Gives you a little bit of a description of the app, and you can go ahead and change the name as well. There's a lot of really great apps in here, one of my favorites is, if I can find it, this one here, the product showcase, this is a really, really nice app here. There's a lot of really nice ones. Like I said, these templates are a great way to get started with Power Apps. It'll show ya a lot of good things, a lot of really neat features in Power Apps, and we are actually going to continue on later in this course and create an app from this template, the budget tracker. So now you know a little bit more about templates in Power Apps.
