- [Instructor] Even people who give presentations all the time fumble when it comes to navigating through a PowerPoint slideshow. Don't be one of them. That's because the program offers plenty of handy navigation shortcut keys, which are all easy to remember, except for the first one. And that's to start the show, you press the F5 key. Yes, there is nothing pneumonic about this shortcut, but remember it anyway, F5 to start. Now the basic navigation keys are the right and left arrows to move forward and backward through the slideshow. You can also use the page down key to move through the slideshow and the page up key to move back. Even more, use the N key for the next slide and the P key for the previous slide. Lots of help. Now to go to the first slide, press the Home key. And to go to the final slide, press the End key. Now the handiest trick I know sends you to a specific slide.
