- [Narrator] Whether you're venturing out for a few hours at a coffee shop, taking a business trip or spending a few weeks away somewhere tropical. Here are some things you should do to prepare for a road trip with your laptop. First, of course, charge the battery, login the laptop the night before or any time you can give the laptop a good charge. And if you forget, we'll look for electrical outlets on the road. Most locations today, coffee houses, airports, and conference rooms have electrical outlets, but don't chance it charged before you leave. Also, check for Windows updates. Now, you can postpone a Windows update, but if you're going to be charging the laptop before you leave, why not venture over to the Microsoft Mothership and check for an update?
