Quantity as a defense

- [Narrator] Quantity has a quality all its own and if you have enough capacity, you don't have to worry about cleverly allocating it. You can get to enough capacity by spending energy on making every transaction efficient and when you do, everything scales better. Of course, at some point every system has a limit or snag. The question is, will you be ready for it? Do you know where the different bottlenecks are? Does your system, as a system degrade gracefully as it starts to get full? Graceful degradation means sending capacity reached alerts and errors, not serving the most expensive requests.
