Risk management with SABSA
- [Presenter] Using SABSA we can architect risk by developing an attribute taxonomy. This has two key purposes which we can see in the life cycle. The first is as a means of calculating and aggregating risk in the manager mega phase. The second is to communicate that risk to the executive. We often think of risk as just bad things happening but that's a very limited view. The SABSA model of risk represents risk with two faces. The left-hand side represents threats which lead to adverse impacts on the business and the right hand side a reflection of opportunities which lead to the positive impacts which result in business value growth. This becomes an important difference when considering a migration to Cloud in which the business is looking for opportunities to save money, improve performance, be more responsive and so on.
