- [Instructor] There are a few other VPN protocols that I want to discuss briefly because you may see them used in certain scenarios. Though if you're accessing your remote resources provided by your company or you're the person in charge of setting up a VPN for employees, these may not be protocols you'll use right now. SSTP, the Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol, uses TLS to set up a secure PPP tunnel. SSTP operates on TCP port 443 making it suitable for use in environments where ports for well known VPN protocols are blocked. SSTP is among the most secure VPN protocols out there and some commercial VPN providers offer SSTP in addition to other protocols, but support for it isn't quite as widespread as for some of the others. SSTP offers the ability for clients to connect to a remote server, but doesn't support site to site connections.
