Safely removing external storag

- [Narrator] I'm adding external storage to my computer by inserting a thumb drive. There. Now in some cases, you may see an autoplay notification. One doesn't appear here, but the thumb drive is mounted. It's storage is part of this computer's storage system. To check it out, I'll press the Windows+e keyboard shortcut to open a File Explorer window and choose This PC from the address bar menu. And here you see the thumb drive storage, right here, ready for action. Though it was easy to insert this drive, removing it isn't as simple as yanking out the media. External storage must be safely removed. So in this window, you right click on the drive icon and choose the eject command. When Windows informs you that it's safe to do so, you can remove the drive. What I just did seems easy, and it should be, but sometimes the drive can be busy. If so it means programs are accessing data on the drive, and you will see a warning.…
