- [Instructor] For most enterprises, cloud should be one of the technology choices that can support the business and not be a business outcome in itself. Similarly, security is an aspect of a business process, not an end in itself. So when we start to think about deploying cloud resources, we need to understand the business context in which we'll be using cloud. We should be able to articulate why cloud is the best solution for the business, we should understand what needs to be protected, and we should be able to justify the security architecture that we put in place. There are a number of cloud security architectures that have been published such as this one provided by the Cloud Security Alliance. This in fact references a number of other frameworks such as SABSA for BOSS, ITIL for ITOS, TOGAF for the architectural layers, and Jericho for risk.
