- I have always had a hard time with planning and organizing. And it's a skill set that I've really had to develop myself and obviously work with mentors and bosses on building out. I would just go and do things and that's just not the right way to do it. The way I manage and plan projects now is definitely very different than I used to. I spend a lot of time setting up the process. And not to every single detail, but at least setting up key milestones. And so for analytics, there's very basic steps that we can use. And that is define a problem, gather the data, clean the data, visualize, model, develop insights, and then provide those recommendations to the business. If you're actually doing that work, I do think it's important to lay out possible paths of, for this step, I'm going to try these five things.
