Setting up and sharing printers

Setting up and sharing printers

- Installing and sharing a printer in a modern operating system is a pretty straightforward task. Or set of tasks, depending on which kind of printer and which manufacturer you're dealing with. Some of them require you to run an install program and during that installation program that installs drivers and other software, at some point you'll be prompted to plug in the printer to a USB port on your computer. Others, you plug in, and then install the drivers. We're going to do it that way. Windows 10 has two different ways to do, to install a printer, to add a printer as it says. We'll look at the way that also applies to Windows 8, and Windows 7 and Vista et cetera and that is through the control panel. So, easiest way to get to Control Panel is to type. And click Devices and Printers, And eventually Devices and Printers will load up. This is going to take a few minutes on this machine, so we'll fast forward to the future…
