Showing (and hiding) the ribbon

- [Instructor] The ribbon represents a palette of command buttons, menus and gizmos that help you use various office applications. The keyboard command shortcut that shows or hides the ribbon is control + F1. Press it once to hide the ribbon, press it again to bring it back. Now, I'm going to hide the ribbon again. Now, see how the tabs still appear? You can click a tab to view its contents and to choose a command. After doing so, the ribbon hides automatically. Now, to make the ribbon stick open or closed, click any tab, and then click the pushpin, available over here on the far right. Now, the ribbon is always visible. Now, to hide it again, you can press control + F1 or you can click the chevron to hide it. And you can also double-click on a tab to show the ribbon. This gizmo here is the ribbon control.
