- [Instructor] Let's now extend the routed network to add in an ASA and create a secure enclave. There's one item we need to create before setting up the ASA and that's a flash disk which we can subsequently use in the ASA configuration. I'll put this into a QEMU folder in the images directory. I'll navigate to my images folder and create the flash drive. We've got our flash drive and we're ready to go. I'll next create a GNS3 template to run the ASA as a virtual machine. I'll select edit, preferences, QEMU Vms and then press new to set up the ASA. The drop down box allows me to select ASA 8.42 as the type and then press next. I'll call this ASA01 and make it a binary type of X68_64w and then press next. For the HDA I'll select the flash file we created and then press next. And then select the initrd file and the vmlinuz file and press finish. Okay. I'll now drag the ASA onto the main screen. I'll reroute the 3745 routers to pass through the ASA.
