- [Presenter] In software engineering, all iterative methodologies are commonly referred to as Agile methodologies which is an umbrella term for methodologies that focus on different aspects of software development and project management. For example scrum which is one of the most popular methodologies focuses largely on product requirements and people management. Extreme programming focuses on the actual software construction activities which involves coding, low-level design, test driven development, paired programming and continuous integration. The term Agile became popular when a team of industry thought leaders published the Agile manifesto. In this manifesto, the four bullet points in the middle capture the change in focus from old to new. It says that while the value of the items on the right, we prefer the items on the left.
