- So as a Data Scientist, you always need to be able to know what's in the market, know what technologies are fading in and fading out and it's something that's really important to stay up-to-date on your technical skills. So a lot of what I tried to do to stay up-to-date, is a lot of market research. I try to figure out what platforms are kind of coming in, what ones are fading out. A lot of what I do also for soft skills to keep on top of those is, like once I've compiled a lot of research and market data and analytics, is kind of putting it into a slide deck and saying, "How can I condense this down "into a few important key bullet points?" And you know, trying to understand, especially if you're in a customer facing role, what are customers asking for? Because that's where the market is trending.
