Time is increasingly important
It's time we talk about time. Now as we all now time is an illusion, lunch time doubly so and the time on your computer triply so. There are reasons to tamper with time on a device. Phones, laptops, other devices are often physically moved. Occasionally, a place like Samoa will decide it's on the wrong side of the international date line and skip Friday. Time is not as simple as we expect. The system will adjust time on you, politicians will adjust time under you, and attackers can adjust time on your system. Once they do so they can insert a packet and make it cryptographically signed so its validated and trusted on the other side. You can adjust software licensing with time driven attacks. You can unlock the magic sword in your favorite game by moving the date forward while the phone is in airplane mode. Each of these is a reason to tamper with time.
