- [Instructor] All right, let's talk about different types of audits and assessments. Well, whenever we're auditing or accessing anything, we're going to go through some kind of process. And it essentially involves something like this. We're going to identify the requirements and the goals of the assessment. What are we here to audit? What do we want to find out? What do we want to know? And then we assess, we take a look at the landscape. We take a look at the current state of things, and then try and determine how far from our targets they are. We will sometimes refer to that as the gaps or the target landscape, the gap between the current state and the target state. That's what we're trying to find out. We take those results, we put them into some kind of report or some kind of presentation, and we report it to the stakeholders that are involved, whether that's management or some kind of regulatory body, or whoever…
