Updating your password

- [Instructor] Security experts claim you must update your password every six months, or immediately after you suspect your account has been compromised. You might also be forced to change your password if your organization's IT department or some online service has set that policy. In Windows, to reset your sign-in, click your account icon on the start menu, and choose change account settings. In the settings app, choose Sign-in options. Click the change button for your password. If you're using a pin to sign in, click the change button below pin to set a new number. This machine doesn't have a pin set, and this machine also has a local account. If you instead sign in with a Windows account or a Microsoft account, the steps are more involved. Further, they affect all Microsoft services you may have signed up for. For online services, updating your password works similarly but the steps involved are specific to that service.
