What VPN types work in hotels and restaurants

- [Instructor] I'm going to review some of the different VPNs that you'll likely encounter as a system administrator. IPsec is also known as IP security, is used heavily by Cisco, SonicWall, OpenVPN and many others. SSTP or SSL is used by Windows, Cisco AnyConnect and others as well. This relies on certificate based security and IKEv2 which stands for internet key exchange, which is known in a Windows server. Is very useful for slow connections where you don't have to be reauthenticated in case your connection gets dropped. Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol or L2TP is being used in Windows servers as well as Apple Macintosh and others. There's two different types of L2TP. One is password based and the other is certificate based. Of course certificate is going to be more secure.
