From the course: 11 Useful Tips for Regression Analysis
What you should know
- [Instructor] What should you know for this course? This is not a complicated course, but you should have some basic understanding of how regression analysis works. This course is not an introduction to regression analysis. Rather, it builds on the foundations of basic linear regression modeling. However, many of the tips are applicable to a wide range of regression methods, and you certainly don't need an advanced statistical skillset to follow what I'm saying. And keeping this course light on equations and the focus is on understanding concepts intuitively and demonstrating this with clear examples. To demonstrate examples, I'll be using Stata. Stata is a well-known general purpose statistical software. However, I won't explain the code that I use in great detail, and I recommend that you focus on the output from Stata instead. If you want to know more about how Stata works, I have two courses that teach State in-depth. If you don't have Stata, don't worry. These tips will work with any other statistical software, although the commands and code are likely to be different. All right, let's get to it.
