What you should know

- [Instructor] Before embarking on this course, managing cloud security and risk, which is part of the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge, or CCSK, there are a few things that you should know already. The first thing to bear in mind is that ideally you will have completed CCSK course 1 Cloud Architecture and CCSK course 2 Infrastructure Security for Cloud. If you haven't completed those, you would need the equivalent knowledge in order to proceed with this particular course. So you should have a general knowledge of managing cloud resources. This really just means having a sense of clicking on a cloud resource in a GUI interface to pull up its properties and then configuring settings. This also means having a general understanding, that in the cloud, when you deploy things like virtual machines and cloud storage, each of those items is considered a cloud resource. Specifically in this course, we'll be using Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure to get a bit of variety in how each of these public cloud service providers does things. And so as a result, you need to make sure you have an Amazon Web Services account and a Microsoft Azure account.
