- [Instructor] Word's Border command is both a paragraph and page-level format. Here I have a Document Title All Fancy Formatted and I want to put a decorative border on this cover page. If I show the codes, so I'll click the Show/Hide button on the Home tab, you can see that this title page is in its own section. This attribute is important because it means that I can add the page border to only this page and not to every page in the entire document. In the Paragraph group, choose Borders and select the final item, Borders and Shading. Click the Page Border tab and I'll choose a Box border. And then select a fancy style here. And then for the Apply to menu, I'm going to choose this section to apply only to the first page which sits in its own section. Click OK. And there's the page border.
