- [Instructor] Here are the steps I take to deal with a flaky wifi connection, which typically happens in a public place. I can move to another location, I can disconnect and reconnect to the network, forget the network and restart the computer's network adapter. For the first solution, especially in a crowded location like an airport, you should move. The base station supplying the wifi signal may be overwhelmed, so look for a less crowded area and attempt to connect again. This trick often works for me, and it's better to be away from the noise anyway, especially if you have the time. If moving doesn't work or it's impractical, disconnect and reconnect to the network. This trick works for those networks that offer a short lease time like 20 minutes, and that's okay, reconnecting fixes the issue.
