The lower layers of design

- [Instructor] SABSA provides a model for the overall architectural lifecycle as shown in the risk management process. The top two layers of the matrix are known as the strategy and planning phase of architectural development. The lower three layers are the design phase. SABSA doesn't provide any layer covering implementation as this has covered adequately with various project management methodologies. All elements of the architectural model have to be managed through life. And so, SABSA provides a second matrix, which has a set of security management processes that represent the operational phase of the architecture, the manager and measure phase in the lifecycle. In addition, we need to be cognizant of the governance, assurance and communication activities that are required in order to ensure the architecture is effective through life.
