Add type to a design
- [Instructor] In this movie, about adding type to your Illustrator documents For starters, there are different kinds First, there's point type, and clicking in your document. some placeholder text. you can turn it off by going to Type Preferences, and turn off this preference: Fill New Type Objects With Placeholder Text. I can immediately start typing to replace it. to multiple lines, unless I manually intervene and add a return. And again, it's filled with placeholder text. like this circle. And, I'll just add some text in the circle If there's too much to fit inside the area, it becomes overset, and you can't see all the type. The overset is indicated by a red plus sign, And you can fix this problem, either by editing the text, so it takes up less room, by reducing the point size which I'll do with the Selection Tool in this case. With the type object selected, on the right side, there's a control for converting area type to point type by double clicking it. When you do this…
