Adding artboard manually
- [Instructor] In the previous video I showed you how to avoid cropped artwork in After Effects by using one of the video presets. But let's say that you want to maintain the artwork that you are working with, there is another way to work by adding a second artboard to an existing artboard. There are a couple of gotchas in this process. So let me guide you through the recommended steps. I'm going to first press command shift A, this will be control shift A. And it will deselect all the selected layers. And them I'm going to switch to the artboards panel here in this document and I'm going to create a new artboard. Now I'm going to switch to the artboard tool and this is because I need to turn off this button. This is going to help you to move or copy elements with the artboard. And in this case, we don't want to move those elements, we just want to leave them in place. So I'm just going to deselect it. You can also name this artboard and then you can set the dimensions.
