Adjusting artboards - Illustrator Tutorial

Adjusting artboards
- [Instructor] The artboard determines the area in which you have to create artwork in your file. The artboard is initially defined when creating a new document, but can be adjusted after initial creation. This artboard is currently much larger than the actual artwork. To adjust the artboard, go to the tools panel, and select the artboard tool. To change the dimensions of the artboard, drag the handles to the desired size. The artboard's dimensions can also be adjusted manually by entering the width and height values in the appropriate fields within the properties panel. To adjust the artboard to the size of the artwork, go to the artboard preset dropdown menu and choose fit to artwork bounds. Feel free to enter a more appropriate name in the artboard's name field as well.
