- [Instructor] Illustrator gives you the control that you need when aligning and distributing objects. You just need to know a few tips to help you along the way that I'd like to show you right here. Now, with this artwork that I have in front of me is basically kind of like a silhouette or a back lit image of the Golden Gate Bridge, or any bridge for that matter. And what I'm trying to do is I'm trying to create the cables that are distributed between the bridge here. Now the first thing I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna create a couple of copies of this line to represent those cables. So I'm gonna select that line and I'm gonna hold down the alt or option key and I'm gonna drag to the right, and I'm gonna drag up a little bit as well, till I get maybe right about here. That looks pretty good. And then I'm gonna press command or control D on my keyboard several times to create multiple copies of that line.
