Applying drop shadows
- [Instructor] In this chapter, we'll take a look at a few of Illustrator's automated effects, which are dynamic operations, meaning they have no permanent consequences and you can change your mind anytime you like. And a great example of such an effect is a drop shadow. And notice, this final version of the artwork contains quite a few soft drop shadows that help to distinguish the objects from each other. And so notice, without the drop shadows, the scene is pretty drab, as you can see right here. And I should mention that these reasonably accurate license plates comes to us from the Dreamstime image library, which contains a ton of editable vector artwork.
