Blend modes and texture

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'd like to talk about texture and blending modes, particularly the Multiply and Screen blend modes. I have two art boards, one with white text on black and the other with black text on white. Over on my Layers panel, I have currently hidden two images at the top of each of these art boards. And this image was placed from one of my libraries. It's the second image down in the first column. That's just come and turn on the visibility. Starts out looking like this. Let's see what happens when we change the blending mode to Multiply. You'll see that the texture clings to the white text and is completely ignored on the black background. If I change the blend mode here to Screen, we see the opposite. The texture is ignored by the white text and now clings to the black background. It of course is changing the color of the texture on that background. Now let's look at the black text on a white…
