- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to cover how to make button symbols. Let's start with a four hole button. I'm going to take the ellipse tool and make a circle that is four points by four points. We'll lower the stroke weight to 0.25, and now we can make the holes. The holes need to be very small, so we're going to draw another ellipse that is 0.5 by 0.5 and click okay. For this one, we want to swap the fill and stroke, and we're going to change the stroke to none so we have a very small pole. Now we can select it, copy, paste in front, command F, hold the shift key, and arrow it over by one point. I'll select both of them, hold the shift key and the option key so we make the copy, and arrow down one. Now I can select all four, right click, and group them together. We'll select the holes and the button, and we're going to align center, center. And that takes care of the basic button shape. Let's add some thread to it for stitches.
