- VectorFirstAid gives you the ability to fix common problems with both live text and text that's been converted to outlines. And in this movie, we'll see how to unite separate text objects into logical groupings making it a lot easier to edit and format text in your Illustrator files. In a file here, we have a PDF of a product label and while it's great that you can open and edit PDFs in Illustrator, they can sometimes be hard to work with, especially if they have a lot of text like this file does. I'll zoom in on the left side of the label and take the Direct Selection tool and click on some of the text and I can see that each one of these lines is a separate point type object. And let's say you needed to edit and reflow this text. That would be a really annoying job to do with all these separate objects. So let's fix that.
