Clipping mask cropped type
- [Instructor] We can use clipping masks to create cropped type effects, something like this. So I'm going to create a new document. And I'll set my art board to be 1800 by 1200 pixels. Tap with my type tool, double-click to select that placeholder type. Replace that. I'm going to use a font called DIN 1451, available on Adobe Fonts. And I want this to fill pretty much my whole art board. So I'm going to increase its size, maybe reduce its letter spacing, but ultimately it's going to end up outlined. And then I will ungroup that, so I now have four separate letter shapes. I'll come and choose the rectangle tool. Draw myself a rectangle across the art board. Now I want the width of that to be 1/4. So, let's see, that's 900, that's 450. And let me just position it on the left. I'll duplicate that, drag the copy over, select the two, duplicate them, drag them over. So I now have four tall rectangles filling my art…
