- [Instructor] Here's a technique for combining type and artwork. I want to get the impression that my grapevine is wrapped around my type. And my type, incidentally, is Tribute which is available on Adobe fonts. This is going to require the use of a clipping mask. And when you use a clipping mask, the clipping shape needs to be at the top of the layer stack. So with the type selected, I'll come to my common tasks bar and change the stacking order. I'll then open up the layers panel because we're going to need to move some stuff around on the layers panel. Holding down my touch shortcut, I'll select the artwork and the type, then come to the object panel and make that into a clipping mask. When I do so, the clipping shape loses its color. I'll open up the clip group, select the letter and come and reinstate the color. I'll now lock the type. I'll select the artwork, come to my edit panel and copy it. Create a…
