Combining type and symbols
So I know what to experiment with combining the type with a symbol. Starting out with some fairly obvious treatments, the wolf howling at the moon, the shy fox, and then I've enclosed the words in this eye shape playing on the word shy. And then I'm making of giving the effect of the type rippling. And this is suggested by returning to the the Hitchcock movie credit theme opening title theme, suggested by the poster for Vertigo. And then, I have this bird symbol, which I'm using transparency on. I felt like one of them didn't really work, so I just replicated them three times to create 4, and created an interaction between them using transparency. If I just swipe over those to select them. We can see that I'm using the multiply blend mode on these. This was suggested to me by this image, which was sent to me by the band, my client. This is a rough of their CD cover for their forthcoming release, and I had no role in creating this, but it's an interesting image, and I thought, well…
